Debian KDE Jukebox using SMB

A lot of standard music players will not mount the folder directly to the machine so you can’t add any music to the players.

If you install SMB4K you will be able to manually mount your folder on a network. Mine is a diskstation so looks like: smb://diskstation.local/My Data

Once this has been mounted in SMB4K you will see that there will be a new mount name: /home/stuart/smb4k/DISKSTATION.LOCAL

you will now be able to add this folder to a linux jukebox like: silverjuke

sudo apt install smb4k
sudo apt instal silverjuke
